Our Mission

WDC helps people build safer and more stable lives through economic opportunity and community support.”

—Empowering Communities Through Comprehensive Support

Economic Development Programs

The Economic Development Program supports aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, and creative professionals with the tools they need to grow. Through workshops, mentorship, and hands-on guidance, WDC helps individuals strengthen their business skills, access resources, and build pathways to long-term financial stability and economic mobility.

Youth Development Programs

The Youth Development Program equips middle school students with real-world skills that build confidence, leadership identity, and strong communication habits. Through a blend of project-based learning, creative activities, and guided mentorship, WDC helps young people explore their interests, strengthen decision-making, and develop practical skills they can use in school, at home, and in future opportunities.

Holistic Health Programs

The Holistic Health Program helps individuals and families access the healthcare and mental health support they deserve. As a vendor with the Colorado Division of Insurance, WDC offers culturally responsive guidance to help community members understand their coverage options, navigate services, and connect with trusted providers for both physical and emotional well-being.

Together, these programs form a comprehensive ecosystem of opportunities, fostering economic prosperity, career advancement, and holistic well-being across all communities.

By combining these efforts, WDC fosters a thriving ecosystem where individuals not only survive but thrive.

“At WDC, we believe that community is the foundation of success. By coming together, sharing knowledge, and supporting one another, we grow stronger as individuals and as a collective. This is where dreams take root, connections flourish, and change begins—one step at a time.” – Maya Wheeler, Executive Director
