Help Launch Colorado’s First CNA Worker-Owned Cooperative
Better pay. Real support. True ownership.
We’re building a CNA worker-owned cooperative in the Denver Metro Area — and it starts with a powerful leadership committee made up of CNAs like you.
If you’re a Certified Nursing Assistant who’s tired of low wages, burnout, and feeling undervalued — you’re not alone. This new cooperative is a chance to change the game. Together, we’re building a supportive, worker-led model that centers your voice, strengthens your community, and puts real power and profit into your hands. Now is the time to co-create a future where caregiving is respected, sustainable, and led by those who do the work.

What is a CNA Worker-Owned Cooperative?
A worker-owned cooperative is a business that’s owned and governed by the workers themselves. That means you have a voice in decisions, you share in the profits, and you are supported as both a care provider and a person.
In a CNA worker-owned co-op, you’ll find:
- A community of CNAs who support each other
- Flexible schedules that work for your life
- Higher wages and shared profits
- Training, mentorship, and leadership opportunities
This isn’t just a job — it’s a pathway to long-term stability, ownership, and respect.
Why This Matters?
CNA work is meaningful — but it’s also undervalued, underpaid, and emotionally demanding. The turnover rate for CNAs is over 65% nationally.
Worker-owned cooperatives are changing that.
In CNA co-ops around the country:
- Members earn an average of $0.54 more per hour
- Turnover rates drop to around 36%
- Workers have real input into decisions that affect their jobs and lives
You deserve more. This co-op is a step toward that.

What We’re Building Together
WDC is forming a Leadership Committee to help design the cooperative from the ground up. This committee will include CNAs, trainers, and community partners.
As a committee member, you’ll help shape:
- The mission and vision of the co-op
- What benefits members receive (like training, childcare, sick leave)
- What responsibilities come with ownership
- How decisions are made and what structure works best
You’ll be at the forefront of something big — and your voice will shape the future.
